The Department of Paper Science and Technology at Munich University of Applied Sciences offers an international Master Programme in Paper Technology since summer 2004. The programme starts from B.Eng. level and leads to the Master of Engineering within 1,5-2 years (part time: 3-4 years) depending on starting level and knowledge. All lectures are given in English making it especially suitable for foreign students.
The students obtain professional qualifications which enable them to use their extended scientific knowledge in the further development of the manufacture of the wide range of paper products, with special attention to the aspects environmental compatibility, quality, economic production, and the efficient use of energy.
The instruction takes place in small groups and team work. With its wide range of optional subjects, the course is very flexible, with distinct possibilities for acquiring further knowledge. The laboratories are well equipped with latest technology and there is an intensive contact to industries.
The course offers national and international employment possibilities, with very good prospects with regard to income and promotion. The demand for trained workers in this field is above-average and continuous.
