Cooperation agreement with Vietnam prolonged until 2023
The trilateral agreement between BIBB, National Institute for Vocational Education and Training (NIVT) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) has been prolonged for three years. The cooperation focuses on the implementation of a sustainable monitoring system in Vietnam.
For the second time within 20 years, BIBB provided advice on the development of a national 10-year VET-strategy for Viet Nam. BIBB developed the recommendations with support of its Vietnamese partner institution NIVT and GIZ. Results are now available.
The Vietnam VET report 2018, Greening VET and the Vietnam VET Strategy 2021-2030 were the themes in the last BIBB mission in Vietnam in the context of the vocational training cooperation with the National Institute of Vocational Education and Training (NIVT).
“Digital media in VET” roadshow goes international
The nationally successful “Digital media in VET” roadshow has now also made its international debut. BIBB and Asia-based VET stakeholders presented examples of good practice at the specialist trade fair „Worlddidac Asia“ in Bangkok.
Cooperation agreement between GIZ, BIBB and NIVT prolonged
BIBB and GIZ support the Vietnamese partner institution NIVT, to further improve the Vietnam VET report. Against this background, the trilateral cooperation agreement has been prolonged during the BIBB mission to Vietnam in November and signed through NIVT and GIZ for the period 2018-2020.

A study visit to Germany provided an opportunity for the delegation from Vietnam to network and discuss TVET related issues with numerous international experts during the 2018 BIBB Congress.
Vietnam Vocational Education and Training Report 2016
The report reflects multi-dimensional issues of vocational education and training activities and focuses on the cooperation between TVET institutes and the business sector in TVET activities.
The importance of the Vietnam TVET Report as a policy advisory instrument was emphasized at a meeting with the National Institute for Vocational Education and Training (NIVET), experts from BIBB and GIZ “Programme Reform of TVET in Vietnam” during a week-long mission and coaching session in January.
The Vietnam TVET Report 2015 is the fourth report that provides information on VET activities in Vietnam. While the report reflects multi-dimensional issues of vocational education and training activities, it focuses on the development of high quality TVET institutes in the system.
During a seven-day study visit in Bonn, a Vietnamese study group from NIVT worked with BIBB experts on a wide range of topics in the field of vocational education and training. This visit is part of a long-standing and fruitful cooperation between the two partners.
GIZ and BIBB strengthen capacity for NIVT researchers
In the context of a trilateral cooperation agreement between NIVT, GIZ and BIBB, experts of the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training organised a workshop and coaching-session to comment on the VET Report 2015 and prepare the upcoming report.
Regional BIBB Partners Meeting identifies core areas of future collaboration
From 13-14 October 2016 representatives from seven countries came together for the second regional BIBB partners meeting in the Asia-Pacific region which took place in Nanjing, P.R. China.
