BIBB-FDZ provides users with English labels for standard variables containing occupations and economic activities.
This page offers English labels for the International Standard Classification of Occupations 1988 and 2008 (ISCO 88/08), the German Klassifikation der Berufe 1988 (KldB88), the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities (NACE Rev.2 ) and International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC Rev. 4), respectively, as well as the NACE Rev.1.1 / ISIC Rev. 3.1. Since the older BIBB/IAB Employment Surveys do not include official classifications of economic activities, you find a crosswalk to generate the NACE Rev.1.1 / ISIC Rev. 3.1 as well.
Additionally you find crosswalks to generate the Comparative Analysis of Social Mobility in Industrial Nations (CASMIN) and the International Standard Classification of Education 97 (ISCED-97) for the BIBB/IAB Employment Surveys 1979 to 1999.
