Cooperation with Ukrainian partner institution IVET NAPS
The Institute of Vocational Education and Training of the National Academy of Pedagogical Science of Ukraine (IVET NAPS) and BIBB have been cooperating on VET topics since 2013. In 2016, both institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for further cooperation. The focus so far has been on a continuing exchange of expertise.
As a leading academic institution, the Institute for Vocational Education and Training of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine (IVET NAPS) provides methodological and academic support for VET in Ukraine.
IVET NAPS and BIBB have been cooperating on VET topics since 2013. In October 2016, both institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This provides for continuous cooperation in research and development on VET issues. The common objective is to promote VET research through mutual support, cooperation and information exchange.
The joint activities since 2013 include
- Mutual participation in congresses and conferences (e.g. European Symposium of VET Institutes 2017 (Brussels), BIBB Congress 2018 (Berlin), VET Conference 2019 (Khmelnitsky, UKR),
- Publications (interview with the Director of IVET NAPS, Prof. Dr. Valentyna Radkevych, BWP 6/2014, BIBB article in the "Scientific Herald" of the Ukrainian Institute 2020),
- in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Kyiv and IVET NAPS: Organisation and implementation of a studyvisit of Ukrainian vocational school students and VET staff to Berlin and Brandenburg in 2018 as well as
- a joint workshop series on issues relating to the dual system, European VET policy and VET research (2015/16).
In the context of the war in Ukraine, BIBB has created a solidarity and information website for its internet offering.
