Cooperation with the Ghanaian partner institution CTVET
The National Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) and BIBB have been cooperating in the field of VET and VET research in Ghana since October 2022.
The Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) and the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) agreed on 7.October 2022 to cooperate intensively in the field of VET and VET research for a period of three years.
The cooperation includes mutual support in VET-related activities, a continuous exchange of knowledge and information in the field of VET reporting/data reporting, organizational development, dual VET, peer learning and, in perspective, cooperation in VET research.
Current joint activities
- Monitoring (development of a Ghana TVET Report, establishment of monitoring mechanisms)
- Establishment of steering mechanisms and structures for a Ghanaian dual VET system
- Cooperation in the project „Bridging Innovation and Learning in TVET (BILT)“, coordinated by BIBB and the United Nations International Centre for Vocational Education and Training (UNESCO-UNEVOC).
The CTVET was established by the Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020 (ERBA), an Education Regulatory Bodies Act in Ghana, as a sub-agency of the Ghana Ministry of Education (MOE). It is responsible for regulating, promoting, and managing vocational education and training (TVET) for transformation and innovation for sustainable development in the country
