Training staff make a valuable contribution to the training and socialisation of the future’s skilled workers. This issue of BWP focuses on the acquisition and training of vocational training staff and on which old and new requirements need to be managed along the way.
What will dual VET look like in the industrial sector in ten years’ time? In order to examine issues of this nature in greater detail, BIBB hosted a workshop which was attended by around 40 specially chosen participants from several industrial sectors.

Education specialists meet for EduTECH Asia in Singapore
EduTECH Asia, which took place from 8 to 10 November in Singapore, is Asia’s largest education conference and technology exhibition. The BIBB, represented by Head of Department Birgit Thomann, used the opportunity to draw international attention to the importance of in-company training personnel.
Strategies and opportunities for vocational schools – BIBB analyses concepts
Vocational schools face challenges such as demographic change, digitalisation, and the trend towards higher school leaving qualifications. BIBB investigated the current situation of the learning venue and of the various approaches adopted in the federal states in a national comparison.
