The German-Asian Forum aimed at connecting decision makers from the Asian training sector with German providers of initial and continuing VET and with German companies needing skilled workers in and from Asia. International partnerships are intended to strengthen skilled worker recruitment.

BIBB and the Federal Environmental Office (UBA) have published a joint position paper with recommendations on how the social and ecological transformation can be achieved at times of a skilled worker shortage.
A portal which offers assistance to training and examination staff
The Leando Portal was developed in order to support training and examination work BIBB President Esser marked the start of the training year on 1 August by emphasising the performance spectrum of this digital application.
Esser: “We will not be able to handle the transformation without skilled workers.”
Eight updated training occupations will be in place when the 2024 training year begins on 1 August. Ongoing revision of training regulations is an important task in order to create an attractive training market and to encourage young people into dual training.
