Professional Background

Jan Braun studied nursing education and nursing science at Esslingen University University of Applied Sciences. As a research assistant, he works on various research projects on the nursing profession and nursing education. Previously, he worked as a teacher at nursing schools and further education institutions and as a geriatric nurse and practical instructor at several nursing facilities.

Research interest

Durig his research stay, Mr. Braun analyzes job advertisements for nurses. Of particular interest is whether they implicitly or explicitly adhere to a separation of nursing (education) according to nursing fields and whether job advertisements reveal reactions to generalist nursing education and the changes associated with it.

The analysis is conducted within the scope of the project BENP II in cooperation with Department 1 and Division 2.6.
