Department 2 - "Structure and Regulation of VET"
Department 2 updates and redevelops initial and advanced training regulations. Moreover, it draws up basic principles for the further development of regulatory work. These regulatory tasks are backed up by the carrying out of needs analyses for new occupations and of evaluations of regulations which have already been promulgated with the aim of achieving ongoing quality assurance and improvement of regulation. Implementation guides support the launching of new training occupations.
- The “Staff Department for the Vocational Education and Training of People with Disabilities” deals with aspects relating to VET for disabled persons and manages the Committee for Issues Affecting Disabled Persons (AFbM).
- The “Office of the Specialist Committee for the new Nursing Act” concerns itself with the Nursing Act, nursing training, and nursing examination regulations. It uses academic research methods to support the Specialist Committee with skeleton curriculum development and to help with the processing of various relevant issues faced by the Committee and by Federal Government departments. It processes the results produced within the context of this work in a way which is appropriate to the target group and ensures that these results are used to inform the nursing science discourse with regard to initial and continuing training for nurses.
