Cooperation with Indian partner institution FICCI

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the BIBB signed a co-operation agreement in 2010. The co-operation activities focus on the qualification of vocational training personnel and on the incorporation of dual elements into the vocational education and training system.

Currently there are no bilateral cooperation activities ongoing

 

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in Delhi is the largest and oldest chamber and industry association with more than 80,000 member institutions. The FICCI has proven itself as a committed and interested partner in all issues pertaining to vocational education.

The FICCI and the BIBB signed a co-operation agreement in October 2010. It provides for close co-operation in the field of research and development. Both partners have committed:

  • to maintain an exchange regarding their research programmes and research results;
  • to make available relevant publications to the respective other party;
  • to carry out research and development projects in the following fields:
    • quality assurance in vocational education and training;
    • development of vocational education and training standards;
    • qualification of vocational education and training personnel;
    • examinations and certification in the field of vocational education and training.

The co-operation activities  focus on the qualification of vocational training personnel and on the incorporation of dual elements into the vocational education and training system.

New publication: Spotlight on India

The BIBB publication series IHBB has published a country study in English for the first time. The study focuses on the national VET system of the second largest country in the world in terms of population.

Regional BIBB Partners Meeting identifies core areas of future collaboration

From 13-14 October 2016 representatives from seven countries came together for the second regional BIBB partners meeting in the Asia-Pacific region which took place in Nanjing, P.R. China.
