Cooperation with Czech partner institution
The BIBB has already been working together with vocational education and training institutions in the Czech Republic since 1993. Since 2011, it has been co-operating with the National Institute for Education (NÚV). The main purpose of the co-operation is the mutual exchange of information.
The National Institute for Education (NÚV) in the Czech Republic is subordinate to the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports.
The BIBB had already signed a co-operation agreement in 1993 with the NÙV's predecessor institution, the Institute for Research on Technical and Vocational Education (VÙOŠ). This co-operation had been mainly focused on supporting the reform of vocational education and training in the Czech Republic. It was based on funding for projects and measures in the context of the German federal government's TRANSFORM advisory programme.
In September 2000, the BIBB and the VÙOŠ signed a new co-operation agreement with the objective of providing mutual support, collaboration and information exchange regarding research and development in the field of vocational education and training.
Since September 2011, this co-operation has continued with the NÚV.
