Cooperation with Slovakian partner institution

The State Institute for Vocational Education (SIOV) in Bratislava and the BIBB signed a co-operation agreement in September 1995. The agreement governs the following fields:

• support in accessing literature and other material pertaining to vocational education and training;
  support towards information and study trips;
• publication of articles in the respective institute publications;
• information exchange regarding events;
• support in the facilitation of contacts;
• advisory services and support regarding projects and measures in the field of vocational education and training;
• support towards international activities (in particular international debates and dissemination of results);
• exchange of experience and assessment (evaluation) of the effectiveness and sustainability of jointly implemented project.

The SIOV and the BIBB collaborate in particular in the following fields:

• introduction of dual vocational education and training structures into the national vocational education and training system;
• implementation and testing of dual system vocational education and training;
• collaborative vocational education and training project in Nove Mesto.

The co-operation activities currently take place directly via the Education Ministry.
