Joint research and shared development of vocational education and training
BIBB and CÉREQ renew cooperation agreement
The cooperative arrangement between the BIBB and the French Research Centre for Employment and Qualifications (CÉREQ), which has been in place since 2006, is entering a new phase.
On 31.03.2016, an updated partnership agreement was signed by BIBB Research Director Reinhold Weiß and Alberto Lopez, Director of CÉREQ in the presence of Birgit Thomann (Head of Department 1 of the BIBB) and Matteo Sgarzi (Head of the International Department in CÉREQ) in Marseilles. The agreement structures the collaboration of both institutes over the coming years in line with joint priorities. In addition to the involvement of researchers from CÉREQ and the BIBB in ongoing studies, the plans include the initiation of new research projects, the secondment or placement of guest academics and the joint organisation of conferences and events.
The aim of the closer collaboration between CÉREQ and BIBB is to support the organisation of vocational education and training in Europe with contributions from France and Germany. An initial step in this path will be a conference on the subject of “School-to-work-transition in VET” which is to be organised by both institutes in 2017.
